Our 2025 reunion will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites 3020 West Montague Ave., North Charleston, South Carolina 29418 the week of September 7 to September 12, 2025. To make your Hotel reservations please call 843-990-5100 by August 7, 2025. You MUST indicate the group name USS ESSEX Association in order to receive the group rate. Our room rate includes Breakfast, Free Parking and is $130.00 a night plus tax and a $2.20 City Fee. Note: The room Rate will increase after the cut off date. If you need a Refrigerator for your medication or a Handicap room please request it at the time you make your resrveration.

The Hotel is about 2 miles and 10 to 15 minutes from the Charleston Airport (Airport code is “CHS”). If you’re using a computer to search for Airfare you can try KAYAK.COM to search numerous airlines at one time, when you select an airline it automatically switches you to that airline to make your reservation. Note: Southwest Airlines does not participate in Kayak. After landing and picking up your luggage you will go out the doors and you will see a sign that says “Shuttle” pointing to the left, but you will go to your right, you will see a little glass house that is where the Hotel Shuttle will pick you up.
On Sunday evening we will have a Welcome Dinner and on Thursday evening we will have a Farewell Dinner at the Hotel. The prices have been reduced, because the association is subsiding the cost of these Dinners. This benefit comes from the Funds we have raised over the years at the LADIES AUCTION. PLEASE remember to bring the items you want to donate to the Auction.
Buffet Breakfast includes, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage links, Sausage Patties, Potatoes, Bacon, Grits, Oatmeal, Waffles (2 machines), French Toast Sticks, Biscuits & Gravy, Toast, Muffins, Bagels, Scones, Cold Cereals & Juice. Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate is also available 24 hours a day in the lobby. Some items will be served on alternate days.
There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel. The Hotel Shuttle will take you within a 5 mile radius of the Hotel. This includes the Tanger Outlets, which has a number of restaurants.
